Boutiques, upscale chain stores and street vendors, as wells as casinos and a wide range of restaurants, dance clubs and bars, make Oranjestad a popular destination in Aruba. In addition to shopping, dining and entertainment, the island's capital city offers museums, a butterfly farm, art galleries, golf, historical sites and a marina. The island's colonization by the Netherlands shows in Oranjestad's Dutch colonial architecture, while the buildings' bright colors are distinctly Caribbean.

Smith Boulevard, the main thoroughfare in the city. This is in part because the boulevard is closer to the cruise ship terminal and harbour area.

Jolly Pirates Cruises, Oranjestad
If you want to do a snorkeling tour while in Aruba, I highly recommend Jolly Pirates. For starters, the ship is really cool. You feel more like you're on the high seas instead of the highly sterile
Alhambra Casino, Oranjestad
This is a very nice casino. It is located directly next to the Divi All Inclusive Resort on Eagle Beach. It is open 24 hours and the table games are open I believe from about noon up through 3 or 4 AM. Overall the casino is small in size but ther are plenty of slots, video poker games, etc. Table games include poker, blackjack, 3 card poker, Let It Ride, craps, just to name a few (there were more which I just cannot remember).
