“Awesome!!!”

The Occidental grand is WONDERFUL!!! The rooms were clean and cool. No musty smell like some other people mentioned. The beach is beautiful. Never had trouble getting a hut at the beach. Just go before breakfast get your towel from the towel hut and lay it on a chair under a hut. Noone will bother it. The pool is very clean and refreshing. The swim up pool bar is very nice. The food is good. Never had any trouble getting reservations. When you arrive go to the girls in the main lobby and make reservations. They will let you make four in advance. After that just go in the moring. We got reservations everyday. The breakfast buffet was good. You have two choices for lunch. We did a jeep tour to the natural pool. Wow what a ride. It was a lot of fun. They call it the "shake and bake tour " hehe... It was very bumpy from the natural bridge to the natural pool. We booked it through depalm tours in the main lobby of the hotel. It was a great vacation. We will definately return next year.
