Harbour Village Beach Club Bonaire

The quaint Dutch town of Kralendijk is just a short walk from Harbour Village Beach Club. The airport is 10 minutes away.

Nice, quiet hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff. There is a dive shop, who offers boat dives only. 3 boat dives per day. My impression was that they aim more at divers with experience. Nice beach with plenty of chairs. Well kept and maintained. We had a marine front room, standard, which we found comfortable but rather small. Kralendijk is a 20 minutes walk alongside the water front. La Balanda restaurant is good but rather expensive. Especially breakfast at La Balandra we found too expensive for what you get. But service and quality was good
Nearby, at a 5 minute walk, is Patagonia steak House, Bistro de Paris and Sunset bar & Grill, good quality restaurants with good price/quality ratio.

The other thing that troubled us were the mosquitos. The mosquitonets over the bed were an absolute necessity and no matter how much deet we used, we still got bitten. They were everywhere, also in the air conditioned rooms.
Bonaire is really an island for the divers and snorkelers, other activities are really limited, no matter what the tourist folders tell you. Still we enjoyed are stay there.
